Carys at 5 months

The Fourth of July also marked Carys's 5th month of life.
She is getting so big making Kermit look tiny.

She is a supported sitter and is more aware of her toys. She likes to grasp things now.
She also is getting very strong holding herself up on her tummy.

Now look what she can do on her tummy!
She also has started real foods. She began with rice cereal and is now eating oatmeal cereal twice a day. She like oatmeal more than rice. Mixed grains and veggies are next.
"If only I could get a real bite out of this apple." Carys can grasp larger items easily and enjoys putting them in her mouth.
She has been teething for about a month now, causing her to be more drooly than usual and a litte more fussy when she is tired. One thing is for sure, she enjoys standing up a lot.

Happy Birthday America!

Five years ago TJ and I were married, one year ago we saw Carys's heartbeat via ultrasound. Who would have thought July 3rd would bring us so much happiness? Here she is...our little Ms. Independence. The fourth of July was a big day for Carys, we spent the weekend with my parents in Harborwalk.
Harborwalk had a mini carnival including a train ride Carys and I could go on.
We then took a dip in the pool with Carys's new pool toy. She finds the pool very relaxing. She has her sunnies to keep the sun out of her eyes!
Then Carys took a little nap after her swim.

Getting ready for another party at the Fuller's house.

Happy Birthday America!

Carys was asleep before sundown, and missed out on the fireworks...maybe next year.
