The first week of August brought a lot of new discoveries with little Carys. For one, she found her feet!

She also has become bored with laying on her back and has started to arch her back. Sometimes she arches her back so many times that she has become mobile. While I was in the office, she inched her way into the bedroom. This was very cute but dangerous when she is on the changing table. Changing diapers has become a little bit of a game for Carys.

However the biggest discovery is that Carys can sit up on her own for an extended period of time. She started really trying to sit on her own when Grandma Cheryl gave her a Classical Musical Stacker toy. Carys loves the music and the lights and just wants to put the stars in her mouth.
In fact she wants to put everything in her mouth.

You might recognize the pink puppy rattle from when she was one month old.

You might also recognize the green guy. Carys sure did not need any assistance to sit next to him for a size comparison anymore.

Carys has started to eat baby food as well as baby rice cereal. So far she really like pears. She has slowly built up to 100% food intake. She is also drinking nursery water out of a sippy cup.
I knew 6 months would bring a lot of milestones, I just did not think they would happen in less than one week! She is growing up so fast.
