Carys is almost 2 and she continues to be a sponge. It is so neat to teach her things, it is a different feeling than teaching my students at school. To see her true love of learning is a treat. Her language has improved so much, since animal sounds, Carys has learned several songs. She loves Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Jingle Bells. She also loves to sing her ABC's and to count. Many times when she counts she counts...1,2,3....7,8,9,10...not sure what happens to 4,5,6. She recognizes letters and starts to sing her ABC's.
I got a short recording of her singing the other day. She is pretty elusive, so I am pleased with what I did capture on video. You will see her toddler attention span...her love of cleaning with wipes...and her love of books.

Sitting Pretty at 6 Months...Ava
Ava has hit my favorite age for babies...six months. Carys and Ava interact so much more now. Carys is my little helper, making Ava laugh and retrieving toys for her that hit the floor. I love this picture, you can already see that Ava looks up to her big sister.
The main reason I love 6 months is because Ava can sit up now! It is much easier to handle her and multi task with a baby that has sitting up muscles.
Ava's two bottom teeth have just broken the surface and Ava has started to eat pureed baby foods now. I cannot tell if she has a favorite yet because she eats them all!
Ava has also become very interested in her surroundings. She is good at reaching for toys and keeping her balance. She loves to bring everything in for a taste.

I thought this was a sweet video of Carys, the big sister, encouraging her sister. I also like that you can hear how well Carys is speaking and her vocabulary grows everyday. We are also trying to teach her manners, with please and thank you much!
Ava at 6 Months Rolling Both Ways!
Ava is so strong, she can roll both directions. We definitely have to keep an eye on her now.
