Happy Thanksgiving 2009

At almost 10 months old, Carys celebrated her first Thanksgiving with her family. She had a lot of fun the week before making fun crafts for the holiday with her daycare.

Carys is all over the house, finding crawling so easy. She laughs and takes off. She is also now finding obstacles to overcome.

Carys is standing up anywhere she can find support, may it be the coffee table or simply a wall. She has barely started walking a little while holding onto the foot stool.

Thanksgiving was at our house. Here is our beautiful family.

Grandpa James and Grandma Cheryl came over bringing gifts and food. Grandpa James found a Yankees hat for TJ and Grandma Cheryl brought Carys two jackets for the dropping temperatures and our ski trip in December. Carys also got a sweet baby doll rattle for Christmas.

Grandpa Tom and Nana brought lots of food and drinks to share. Grandpa Tom also brought over treasures from Great Grandma Anne's house, including pictures and a baby blanket for Carys.

Auntie Kim made her famous apple pie and had lots of love for Carys.

A special treat came when Aunt Jackie, Uncle Rad, Grandad Lowell and Charlotte came over for dessert. Carys loves Charlotte and really wanted to give Charlotte love. The girls had a great time playing. Charlotte grows more beautiful every time we see her and she is getting so big, speaking in sentences and is not shy, sharing her Hello Kitty Pez with everyone including Mogli, the dog.

Our family from the back, left to right. Grandpa Tom, Carys, Nana Sharla, TJ, Auntie Kim, Lauren, Grandpa James, Maya, Grandma Cheryl, Macy, Maggie (Jared's beautiful girlfriend), Mogli, and Jared.

Jared turned 20 this week and is definitely growing up. He is starting to get a little paternal, picking up Carys when she crawled to him and enjoying Maggie's puppy Mogli.

A fun time was had by all sharing what we were thankful for and filling our bellies.

A Yankees Fan is Born

On November 4, 2009 two great events occured. Carys turned 9 months old and the Yankees won their 27th World Series Title.
If you do not know, TJ's family is split with half of his family avid Yankees fans and the other half Red Sox fans. It all started back with his Grandparents on his father's side. His grandfather, Edward, was a Yankees fan that passed away the year before the Red Sox won the World Series after 86 years of being cursed for trading Babe Ruth to the Yankees. His wife, Anne, a Red Sox fan survived him for that year to see her favorite baseball team win the World Series and then she passed away. So I think it is fitting, that in Carys's first year of life, for the Yankees to win the World Series means she will be a Yankee fan.

Being 9 months old has found Carys very happy.
She pulls herself up all the time and will hold on with one hand with no fear.
She loves to clap when she is happy. Kermit is so tiny.
She is a very sweet baby, easy going and loving. I could not get her to stay put on her belly to get a size change picture with her pink puppy, she wanted to crawl.
She crawls like a rocket!
