The Youngest Member of Team Steller Fishing

Carys has starting showing an interest in fishing. This morning all Icould hear was that she wanted to go fishing with Daddy and catch a gooey fish.
Papa James took us out for Carys's first boat ride. She started off very shy.

Carys loves her daddy.

Once the boat started moving Carys was smiling and enjoying herself.

As she started to warm up, she wanted to sit all by herself.

Then she got braver and walked to the back of the boat.

Then she wanted to help Papa drive the boat, First Mate Carys.

By the end she was very comfortable and came sat with me in the bow of the boat. Here we are about to get soaked, thank goodness Papa turned around!

Ava at 10 Months

Ava, my Ava, as Carys likes to call her.
At 10 months old our little Ava is looking more and more like a toddler. She has started to eat bread and scrambled eggs.
Here is a picture of Carys at 10 months for a comparison. I do see a lot of Carys when I look back at pictures of Ava, but they are also unique to themselves.
I call Ava "Snuggles" because she is my snuggler. She will crawl to you and want to be picked up.
She is very fast at crawling now and also does a butt scoot, staying in a seated position but shifts positions. Ava is also good at balancing while standing.
Ava likes to walk her dollie in the stroller around the house.
She also likes to do the furniture walk, holding onto everything to walk around the room.
Ava likes to do everything her sister does, crawling everywhere to follow her.
Ava has also started to climb but cries to let me know if she is stuck.

Panda Bear, Panda Bear...

When I was in college, I had an entire class on Children's Literature. It has helped me choose good books for Grant and now my own daughters. I always knew Eric Carle was a great author but it was not until Carys starting "reading" Panda Bear, Panda Bear to me one night that I understand better. The repetitive language and great vocabulary are to be noted. TJ tried to sneak in...and then he was caught recording but you will hear her read the majority of the book.

Ava Walking with her Stroller

On Mother's Day, Ava started walking with her stroller. We knew she was good at standing up and had great balance but we did not expect this! Look out world, here comes Ava, our little daredevil.
