Here is Carys aka Dobby and her new little sister, Ava. Carys loves her little sister...especially her socks!
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Harry Potter, Dobby is a house elf who is freed of servitude when his master gave him a soiled sock. Since our daughter, Carys, has such an interest in socks, my mother coined the nickname Dobby for our sock snatcher! We thought Dobby had disappeared, maybe into the kitchens of Hogwarts, as Dobby had not been seen stealing socks since her Easter egg hunt in April. Instead of filling her Easter basket with eggs, Carys chose to fill it with Grandpa's socks. But with the birth of her little sister, Ava, the little baby socks have started to disappear off of the baby's feet! I caught her in action the other day.
After her nap, Carys came out to see the "bebe". She took one sock off...
And then she tried to put it back on...
But that was too much of a challenge....so...
She decided to go ahead and take the other one!
I have been finding tiny socks in interesting places, including the dishwasher...Carys is our lovable little house elf.
