February 4, 2011 marked Carys' 2nd birthday. We scheduled her turtle shell-a-bration for Super Bowl Sunday, right before the big game. We chose a turtle theme because Carys is painfully shy. When an adult talks to her, that she does not know, she literally turtle shells and hides her face. I was pleased to get this pose from the Birthday Princess.

Auntie Kim was one of the first to arrive. Ava was sporting her turtle outfit too.

Nana was a big help with Ava during the party.

Papa Tom working his magic while enjoying a hot dog.

Papa James and Grandma CC had a wonderful time meeting all of Carys' friends.

Carys' favorite thing about her party, the bouncie house!

Carys was very excited to see Cameron and Casey, Mrs. Patty's daughters from daycare.

Jump! Frankie's here!

Yaya's here! I mean Lydia.

Brodie and Lincoln had a great time too.

Our newest friend, Ethan!

Lydia striking a sweet pose.

Frankie made a chalk outline of our backyard.
Logan with his mom Stacy enjoyed the turtle toss TJ created.

Carys' turn.

Yummy turtle snacks.

Green Punch.

The cake!

The birthday girl before she blew out the candles.

Frankie with his turtle backpack.
After a great afternoon, Brodie was ready to go home with his loot.
Lincoln following his brother...getting ready for a super bowl party.
Lydia and Carys

Charlotte could not make the party but sent a pic of herself sporting her turtle backpack.

Logan and Carys had a great time running around especially with the turtle balloon.

Balloons! Holley was right, they totally make the party!

Present time was crazy, all the kids converged at once and there was paper flying! Carys wanted to play with everything...we just wanted to get everything opened...so all the kids helped!

A sweet hug from Carys to Lydia as a thank you, Mrs Patty in the background.

Papa James the toddler whisperer.

Carys loved her new stroller! She was walking her baby everywhere.

Later Carys opened up her Mickey and Dinosaur Train presents from Auntie Kim.

A new high chair for her dollie...she needs a bottle.

A new pelican shape sorter.

Carys had a wonderful day. She loved the bouncie house the most, but loved sticking stickers on her turtle and tossing beanies in the turtle toss. TJ grilled up the hot dogs and I had my first go at using a sewing machine. The turtle backpacks were fun to make and it took a village to make them. Thank you everyone for your help making our turtle shell-a-bration a hit!
