All Gone!

Carys was born with two skin tags on her face that were considered a genetic oops. The larger one was on her left cheek and the smaller was next to her left ear. TJ and I got tired of explaining to people what they were and we were very protective of our little girl. I took her to Texas Children's to see a plastic surgeon about getting them removed and he wanted us to wait until she was six months old to put her under anasthesia to remove them. So we planned to wait.
On a trip to my dermatologist, Carys came with me and the doctor said it would be quick to do and would simply hold her steady. She encouraged us to do it while she was still small, decreasing the size of the scar. We agreed and brought Carys back two days later. I was out of the room but could hear her scream from the waiting room. The two doctors and a nurse had to hold her down telling me later she was a lot stronger than they expected. When I came back in the room, she was smiling but not happy. Poor baby.

The next day you could see a mark on her face where the doctor held her still.
It has healed pretty fast and the mark on her left cheek looks more like a dimple than anything. Pretty girl.
