Bayou Wildlife Park

James, Holley and Grant visted Texas early April and we decided to visit Bayou Wildlife Park in Santa Fe close to Alvin. After living in Houston for 20 years, Mom and I had no idea such a neat place existed. It was fun for the kids as well as the adults.
TJ, Holley, Grant and I all posed for a picture.
Grant with his new hat, reminds me of the man in the yellow hat from Curious George...except he is the boy in the red hat.
There was a small area where you could pet goats, but watch your step!
Our little family, Carys really enjoyed herself on the tram, she had a big bottle and the humm of the engine rocked her right to sleep.
Sometimes the animals were a little suprising. They were definitely not shy, looking for food.
TJ really enjoyed feeding the animals.
Grant fed the animals too. We really enjoyed watching Grant literally pelt the animals with their food. He also would throw food to the animals that were 100 yards away in hopes that they would get fed...but only one morsel at a time...he is a good conservationalist.
Old Bessie would not leave us alone!

What was Carys doing the entire visit? Sleeping! We will take you back when you get older.

  1. We sure did have a fun time on this trip. Can't believe some of the animals Grant was able to feed!?!
