Baby's First Easter Egg Hunt

Easter weekend started on Saturday with the City of Seabrook Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny and the Mayor of Seabrook started the Egg Hunt.
Carys was ready for the fun event. We practiced the night before picking up eggs and putting them in her basket. When the hunt started, Carys was unsure of all the people around her. When I saw how fast eggs were being snatched up, I quickly grabbed Carys and ran to the far side in hopes she could grab some good eggs.
We found a nice patch of eggs for Carys to sit and collect. She was more interested in the eggs than the candy inside.

The hunt lasted under three minutes, and all the eggs were picked up. Carys enjoyed her full bin of plastic eggs. We also enjoyed the free hot dogs from the Rotary Club, chips and a water. It was a very fun event and we will make sure we go again next year.
That night we went to Grandma Cheryl's house and Carys continued hunting eggs. However, with no eggs to be found, she found the second best thing, Grandpa's socks. Carys loves socks and walking around the house with them, what a treat to find Grandpa's and so she quickly stuffed them into her Easter basket. Just call me Dobby, the house elf, from Harry Potter.
Easter Sunday, the Markiewicz family. With me being 6 months pregnant, it is neat to see how much Carys is growing into a little girl.

We went to Spoonbills in Harborwalk for our Easter brunch. Grandpa let Carys play outside after lunch. Notice the plastic eggs in hand, she was not interested in the candy that once filled them.
So sweet.
The Easter bunny saw us off as we went home for a nap and an egg hunt at Grandma's house.
I think there is one under here...maybe Grandpa's socks?
Whoa! Success! Look at this basket.

Harborwalk also had a petting zoo for the kids. Carys was not a big fan.
Carys had a total of three Easter egg hunts this year, one at daycare, one in Seabrook and one in Harborwalk. In fact, Carys is still walking around the house with her baskets and loves to play eggs. It is the simple things that bring so much joy to Carys.
