Ava at Four Months

At four months old, Ava is a big girl. She is almost 15 pounds and 25 inches long. She is above the 75th percentile for weight, length and her head circumference. Carys loves being a big sister, always helping mommy retrieve burp cloths, paci, and toys. She also rocks her sister.

I was looking through old pics of Carys and found this one of Carys at 4 months. Thought the coincidence was uncanny. Big sister Maya.

Carys was helping me with today's photo shoot. She was shaking Ava's favorite rattle to get her to smile.

It worked on getting her attention. Ava is very strong now, holding her head up nice and steady.

She has also started "real" foods, rice cereal once a day. She is very alert, looking all around and grasping for toys. She will grab a toy and bring it in for a taste.

Here is a pic of Carys at 4 months to see the size difference between the girls.

Ava continues to be a great baby, sleeps through the night, falls asleep easy. Ava discovered her thumb and was using that to soothe herself to sleep. We detered that habit by replacing it with a paci, she likes her paci and is slowly weening herself from it.
